Schoooool

Hey guys,
So school can be tough for some people and some people are just naturally in their element there. I guess you could say that I have experienced both sides of school.

So school was kind of tough in Primary School for me, not knowledge wise but because I was bullied. I know bullying is a very common thing all around the world so I'm pretty sure most of you guys reading this have experienced bullying in some form or another. Ever since I was 5 I have had the spot on the side of my face (its actually a calcium deposit) and ever since my adult teeth grew in I have had an overbite- I hate it when people call it buck teeth. So my appearance was something which was tough for me to be satisfied with the whole way through primary school, and even now in my penultimate year of High School. I don't think I dealt with the bullying very well... I think due to my own insecurities I wasn't very kind about certain people and I think I did to a certain extent bully people as well.. I wasn't a very nice person in my last year or so of Primary School (when I was 11).

So in school I suppose academically I have found the work quite easy to handle(apart from woodwork and physics :/ ) *Disclaimer - I'm not trying to showing off at all!* I think I have dealt with the work quite well. Last year I took 6 subjects to do my exams in - Physics, Biology, Maths, English, History and Business Management. In my mock exams I got three A's and three B's- but hopefully I did better in them in my actual exams.
Aside from those difficulties I think I have found most of the rest of school okay...ish.

Let's talk study leave......... This was probably the most stressful time in my life so far! I had 5 weeks leave from school- you may think that was a lot but believe me if I could get a longer time off then I would certainly take it!!! I'm still worrying about my results- I don't get my results for another month. I don't think I will even be able to open the envelope when I get it through the mail.

This year at a higher level I am taking 5 subjects- English, Maths, Human Biology, Business Management and Modern Studies which is kind of like politics :) I think so far the only one I'm kind of struggling with a bit is Maths.

Homework:
So this is probably one of the worst things about school, personally I find it difficult to motivate myself to do the work unless it is something that really interests me. For instance I have just finished a poster for Higher Human Biology but I still have English and Maths homework *yawn*...

So overall I think my feelings towards school are mixed I like it partially but especially as you move towards the higher stages of education it can become very stressful! But I have decided that this year I have to try and calm myself down more and prepare myself a bit more for mock exams in January. I hope those of you who go to school are doing well or are coping well with it if not then try and look at the positive side of things - ask your friends for help or family or even me if you are comfortable with that :) - I always strive to do that!

Lots of Love,
Erin xxx
