Taekwondo!

Hi guys!
So one of my hobbies is Taekwondo,
I have done martial arts since I was 5 but I started Taekwondo when I was 10 (when I moved back up to Scotland). In March in this year I managed to get my black belt which was such a surreal feeling after working for 5 years for it.
I apologise for the horrific photo- I had just done my grading ;)

Martial arts has become the norm for me because of how long I have done it, I'm not sure if that's a good things but I suppose it is helping me with a few things.
Having the knowledge that I can defend myself definitely makes me feel a bit safer when I'm by myself.
Another reason I love it is because I know that I can keep myself controlled a bit of the time.
If you guys don't have any hobbies I definitely recommend any sort of martial arts it kind of makes me eel a bit safer- that may be a bit ironic since you go to classes to fight with people in which you may get hurt but it definitely makes you feel safer outside of the dojang.
I think it has been proven that martial arts help you to focus and calm yourself done in stressful situations- so if you are in school when you are around that exam period I would definitely suggest going to classes :)
I thought this might be a nice post to share about and I hope that you guys enjoy it and please tell me what your hobbies are in the comments!
Lots of love,

School and struggles

Hi guys!
So when i moved from primary school to high school I had the ideal idea that I would stay with the friends I had made then but I reality that didn't happen. During that period of time Im pretty sure people struggle with finding your place. I'm not sure about you guys but I find in my school there are very distinct cliques in my school and I suppose at the start of my high school experience I really didn't fit in to any other - but I would say to you guys don't worry if you are going to college or high school or university- you will make friends they just might be different to the people who you originally thought.
Of course high school is such a hard time with hormones and friends and relationships but I guarantee you guys can get through it- whenever I'm having a tough time at school I just need to think about getting through it and if there was two pieces of advice is like give to you guys it would be
1) keep a positive attitude as much as possible and
2) speak to someone if you are going through a tough time - it could be a close friend it could be a family member but just don't let it build up and then it resulting in you having a break down - because I have been through that and it's not great!
School isn't easy and I think that is almost a given but with the right support system I know anyone can get through it :)
Sorry for the cheesy pep talk but I thiught it might be nice to talk about something that is quite relevant in my life and something that is relevant to a huge percentage of the populations lives too :)
Lots of love

Stress and Youtube

Hi guys!
So today has just been one of those days...
As soon as I got home I feel asleep for an hour and a half and then I had a yummy Chinese takeaway!
After that I just felt useless - I'm a very fidgety person when im not tired so I decided to go for a walk by myself.
I think this is such a therapeutic way to just relax or think about things that are important and just have some 'me' time. If any of you guys ever feel stressed I definetly recommend it! Even if it's just a five minute walk about your street.
I have also discovered a new love for podcasts - I find if you listen to them in bed or whilst your in the bath then it's a nice way to r lad but have still something going on.
If you are like me and you can't really do just one thing unless you are tired I think that podcasts are the way for you to get your 'destressing' time :)
Recently I have been having quite a stressful time in school as my homework load has just piled up and tests have become more common - it really takes it out of you! I've got out of the habit of using th shower and am using baths just to try to relax more. If you guys are feeling stressed take a bath and everything seems at least 60% less stressful- TRUST ME!! :)
If you have read my previous blogs you will notice in one I said I didn't want to start youtube and yet I've decided to launch a channel..
Recently I have just thought that videoing some of my life might be a nice way to spend my time and express myself and I hope you guys respect and support that. Although I am quite nervous I just hope you guys will like the videos :) I will still be blogging for you guys but occasionally I will be posting videos on my channel.
I'm starting this for myself and for you guys (most importantly) I just want you guys to enjoy watching the videos- please take in to account I have just started to make these so I am not an expert in editing and filming - I bought that at the start I will be using my iPhone and then if enough people are enjoying what I am doing the. I will hopefully get a new vlogging camera so at first please don't judge it by the quality and just focus on the content I promise eventually I will have the right equipment to work with and the right blogging technique.

I hope you guys will like everything and if any of you are feeling stressed you will take a tip from me and try to relax,
I love you guys lots,

What’s wrong with me?!?!?!

Hey guys,
sorry I haven’t posted in a while I have been extremely busy with school!
DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to brag in any shape or form.
So before I start my main written thing I wanted to tell you guys that I got my exam results- I got: English- A,Maths-A,Biology-A,Business Management-A,History-A and Physics-B. Just thought you guys might be interested, if you are interested in my point of view of school and things like that just comment below.
So today I thought I might talk about insecurities.
I have personally experienced my own insecurities a lot of the whole way through my childhood. I have dealt with it in a few different ways. I’m not going to list the things that I don’t like about myself, first of all I don’t want you guys to think I’m looking for complements and I don’t want to point the exact things out.
One that I have already on my blog is that I look half my age. I am 15, but you don’t know how many times I have been mistaken for a 9 or 10 year old- it’s not fun.
erin
(I know this isn’t the best photo of me but I thought I owed it to you that I didn’t post an edited photo of me in which I thought I looked reasonable enough to post on a social networking site.)
I have always looked young. When you are a teenager like me you normally go through a lot of changes in your body which a lot of the time I haven’t experienced, for example I am really small and the spots that I get don’t break through the surface of my skin, this means I have really smooth looking skin- that of a childs or pre-teen. Anyway I have dealt with this in a few ways. many of you may know that your parents just say “ignore it, you look fine” or something very similar. This may work for some of you I’m not sure but it certainly didn’t work for me- you look in the mirror every morning and you see yourself- a constant reminder of your insecurities. I honestly don’t think there is one specific way for someone to deal with these thoughts- for me I still haven’t thought of something that works- one warning: crying doesn’t help! For me i just think there isn’t much you can do to change it so you may as well live with it.
If you are like me and are someone who constantly think about what others think of you all I can say is try and please yourself before others- chances are nobody will care if you don’t put on the latest ‘trendy’ shoes. If you are scared people will point out your securities then try to blank that and if someone does do that they obviously aren’t a good friend (unless they are doing it unintentionally).
I promise to those of you who have an insecurity (which has to be all of you, nobody is perfect)  that there is nothing wrong with you.
I know that this has been quite a dreary blog post about a dreary subject that probably none of you talk about but I thought I owed it to you guys to try and help some of you guys and if you have an insecurity.
I love you all!
Lots of love
Erin xoxox

P.S: I have decided that I want to speak to and/or help as many of you as I can so if you ever want to talk please just e-mail me on:

Grief

Hi guys,
So today was my cousins funeral.
This was my first ever funeral that I was allowed to go to and it was a completely new experience for me. This was a humanist service which meant it didn't have any religious side to it which apparently is a bit different to most funerals.
I didn't know how I would cope although I do know that I am a very emotional person which meant that I was definetly going to cry- infavt most if the service I was trying not to cry. At the end of the service he went in his last journey to go and get cremated the following day. This is when it really hut me- I was walking down towards the exit and saw everyone crying and the thought of a man who I grew up with going to be lot on fire set me off and I broke down.
After the service we went to the wake where the atmosphere wasn't as sad as the service which definetly calmed me down.

Coping with grief is a very difficult thing to deal with especially when a close relative dies. It didn't hit me until  about 10 minutes after my mum told me he was dead. I then burst in to tears and let a lot of my grief out. When I came to the funeral I really realised that that was the place to cone to terms with my cousin never coming back. Which I think was partially the reason that I started crying because I knew that even if he was in his coffin that was the closest I would very be to him ever again.

To those of you who might be coping with grief now I tell you that if you are too scared to go to the funeral or any type of service comemerating their lives definetly go- it will definetly help you come to terms with your loss and I think it helps your grieving process a lot. It will get better. I promise.

Lots of love,
Erin xoxox

I'd like to dedicate this to my cousin -  Josh Gauld- age 23 you will be sorely missed and will never be forgotten R.I.P. XXXXX

Summer has finally begun!!

Hey guys!
So similarly to some of you guys I am now on school holidays for the summer! YAY!
We are given 6 weeks off this year and usually i have real trouble coming up with things to do and keep myself busy with. This year has been slightly different from that respect. I have barely had a day to spare because I have been so busy recently.

Last week I went to the beach twice in one week, last week when it was hot... well- 25 degrees celsius, thats probably not very hot to some of you who read this but to us Britons 25 degrees is the equivalent to a draught! I used my new things (in my last blog post i wrote about them) a lot recently especially my bikini and shorts, those shorts have been a LIFESAVER! When I go in the sea i wear my bikini and those shorts on top and I have learnt that they are brilliant, they don't stick to you uncomfortably like denim shorts, they let you move around easily in the sea and I just generally love them... then again I love most of the things I buy from Primark!

I love keeping busy, and going to the beach is a great way to spend with my friends... I mean whats better to lay in a line and burn our skin simultaneously and then freeze to death a few times in the sea! I love going out with my friends and becoming closer to them!

AND NOW PLEASE WELCOME........ another hideous photo of me (I'm on the right) next to one of my pretty friends......

I have been doing other things other than going to the beach like bowling and going to an amusement park.

Im pretty sure most of you reading this will be aware of those stupid machines at the arcade in which the aim is to win a cuddly toy and nobody ever wins them.
Well my friends I would like to announce that I won a cuddly toy! That may be a shock to a few of you but just calm down and breath ;). This shows how productive my summer holidays are.. the highlight of my time off is winning a despicable me cuddly toy haha.

Another thing which I have done in the holidays is go to the cinema. I have seen 'The Fault In Our Stars'. I really wanted this to be as good as the book and as emotional.. I cried at the book so I was expecting to cry at the film.
NOPE.
Don't you hate it when there is a really intense moment in a film and in some cases a really sad moment- there was a lot of these in The Fault In Our Stars- and a bunch of silly little children decide to talk the whole way through the film and when they aren't doing that they cry extremely loudly, but feel the need to tell everyone in their row that they are crying... WHY!
These people ruined the atmosphere for me meaning I didn't get the experience I was hoping for from this film.. *quietly cries in the corner*

So yeah, that is what my holiday has so far consisted of apart from working occasionally: the beach, bowling, theme parks and annoying little children!!!!
I hope you guys are enjoying your holidays (if you have them) if not go ahead and just hang out with your friends even doing nothing with them increases your summer happiness by about 110%
Lots of love,
Erin xoxox
